NEXUS Games Conference, Ireland’s leading games industry event, is pleased to announce the appointment of John Dabill to its Advisory Board. With a distinguished career spanning mobile technology and extended reality (XR), John brings invaluable expertise in immersive experiences and digital transformation.
From the early days of mobile innovation at Ericsson, BlackBerry, and Motorola, to the cutting-edge world of XR at HTC VIVE, John’s career is a story of continuous advancement and leadership.
His most recent journey at HTC is especially noteworthy, where he played a crucial role in shaping the company’s XR strategy, holding key leadership positions with HTC VIVE and most recently the HTC VIVERSE platform whose operations were led from Dublin.
He also spearheaded the expansion of HTC VIVE across the EMEA region, driving product adoption and forging strategic partnerships.
In VIVERSE John’s vision and work extended to the content that powered the XR experiences. including the curation and investment in new gaming content for the VIVEPORT platform. He also led the growth of B2B applications, creating a robust Development Partner Program that empowered businesses to leverage HTC VIVE’s technology for innovative solutions and growth.
John is now using his expertise as an independent advisor supporting businesses with their journey into XR and continuing to grow this important sector.
In his new advisory role, John will support NEXUS in ensuring that the fast moving XR sector will continue to be a key pillar of the event, providing key insights in terms of the development of XR themes and content.
